abstract = "This study aimed to use remote sensing data of different missions,
to estimate the waterbalance in four drainage areas, delimitated
from flow measuring stations, in different basins in
Brazil.Through the results it was possible to verify that three
out of the four areas; in the Amazonas, Tocantinsand S{\~a}o
Francisco basins; significant results were verified between the
terms of the water balance dS/dTand (P-ET-Q). In these areas,
correlation coefficients (r) ranged, from 0.77 to 0.90; and
determination(R2), from 0.60 to 0.83. In Tocantins basin, the flow
measuring station Ira{\'{\i}}, which has the smallestarea, was
where they obtained the worst estimates. The evapotranspiration,
for all drainage areas, was the component that presented the worst
estimates, primarily to the areas of the Amazonas andUruguai
basins. In Tocantins and S{\~a}o Francisco basins areas, it was
observed a highly seasonalbehavior of all variables for both
areas. In addition, it was noted a relation between the
precipitationand evapotranspiration dynamics with the water
storage. Finally, despite the differences; of missions, spatial and
temporal resolutions; the remote sensing data, applied to the
water balance estimates, hasshown satisfactory results especially
for large areas, presenting itself as a promising alternative
                         abouthydrological studies.",
